Bonnie Hoover is a self-taught artist from Hume, Virginia. She graduated from Virginia Tech with a degree in Geospatial Analysis but is now a Montessori teacher in Washington, D.C. She has experience with all media, but prefers photography and ink drawing. Her photography has been published in many magazines, as well as two books written by local author, Harvey Ussery.

Bonnie uses the natural world as inspiration for her work, and has been focused on native flora and fauna. She is currently studying to become a Master Naturalist and is working to create a series of ink drawings to reflect her studies of Virginia species.
