Krister Killinger’s artwork explores the mastery of realism.  He enjoys painting perspectives of flowers in which the paintings represent all the beauty a flower has to offer. He captures their natural brilliant colors and composes them on larger than life canvases to impact the viewer.  He also likes to paint smaller scale paintings executed in a master’s style. These portray fruits, flowers and relationships between objects to create a play on words.  They are meant to be fun, vibrant and thought provoking.

For several years, Krister enjoyed a career as a commercial artist and graphic designer, creating illustrations for books, greeting cards, gift wrap and many home décor items.  Krister currently teaches graphic design and fine arts at the high school level, creates fine artwork and produces graphic design for various clients.

Presently, Krister lives in Chantilly, VA with his wife and three daughters and son.  He paints in a studio located at his home.
