MISIA BROADHEAD was born in Washington DC and grew up in Italy in the cities of Rome and Tuscany. She attended The Byam Shaw School of Drawing and Painting in London, England. Upon her return to Italy she exhibited as well as taking commissions in Rome and Tuscany. She proceeded to exhibit in Washington DC, taking portrait as well as mural commissions. She settled in Middleburg, Virginia with her husband Anthony Barham, also a painter, and together they created The Broadhead-Barham Studio.
