TOM NEEL’S art career spans three decades with some fifty one-man shows to his credit. Self-taught, his work is a part of notable personal collections, such as golf legend Jack Nicklaus, John Walsh of America’s Most Wanted, ABC News on air consultant Richard Clark and celebrated Chef, Patrick O’Connell of the Inn at Little Washington. His corporate clients include Lockheed Martin, Ferrari of Washington, Wolf Trap, Salamander Resorts, Van Metre Homes, Winchester Medical Center and he is the artist-in-residence of Creighton Farms Luxury Golf Community. His paintings are in collections both here and abroad and it is rare for a collector to won only one of his paintings.
I want my paintings to reflect intimacy and the sense of place I feel for Virginia and even more so, a sense of peacefulness for my collectors. Tom adds, Forty percent of what I paint though is by way of commission and includes things such as aircraft, collector cars, boats, animals, favorite golf holes and more.
Tome is also a published writer, author, consultant, public speaker and photographer. He was the lead judge for The Congressional Art Show for 10 years, currently is lead judge fo rhte Loudoun County Public Schools Art Show, plus the They Hylton Center Performing Arts Juried Exhibition and The Mill Show.
