Catherine Zimmerman

Cathy Zimmerman was born and raised on the farm where she lives with her husband. Cathy attended The Hill School, Garrison Forest School, and the Corcoran School of Art.

Cathy’s love of nature and the Virginia countryside is evident in her watercolors. She captures and conveys the emotions that connects us to the land and its non-human inhabitants.

She is a lifelong farmer, conservationist, foxhunter and fisherman. She has bottle fed countless pigs, calves, puppies, and assorted orphaned wildlife over the years. Her current husbandry includes horses, cattle, chickens, Christmas trees, grandchildren, dogs, and one housebroken pig.

She welcomes visits to her studio.
